San Jose State ID Soccer Clinic, Sunday March 4th, 2012 at Spartan Stadium A HUGE SUCCESS FOR EAST SIDE PLAYERS!!:

East San Jose FC and the community united together to send some well deserving players to this clinic. Based on speaking with some school coaches , this was the first time ever that East Side Players have participated under full sponsorship. We invited players from Mt. Pleasant, Yerba Buena, James Lick, and Overfelt High School to attend. It was an awesome turn out. We were very lucky to have had a local reporter from El Observador newspaper taking notes, and pictures. See the full article here..http://news.el-observador.com/2012/03/08/soccer-club-sjsu-unite-to-help-students/.

I would like to thank the following sponsors for their incredible assistance in generating the funds required to send the student athletes to this very exciting event:

1. El Observador Foundation

2. Elizabeth Brownfield from Brownfield and Associates for turning ON her network, and spreading the word, of which we got sponsors from.

3. Coach Gary St. Claire

4. Trustee Patricia Martinez-Roach from East Side Union High School District.

5. Community members that shall remain anonymous until I get permission from them to publicly thank them.

I am happy to report that we got more funding that we could use due to some players not showing up for the clinic, and as such I will be returning those funds back to the sponsors with a heartfelt thanks.

We believe that is our role to not only emphasize good sportsmanship but also to support our athletes in their educational goals. We have partnered and continue to partner with local colleges and universities to provide mentoring and support. Here are a few examples.
